Simon's Town Solar Installations

The picturesque seaside town of Simon's Town, located on the False Bay coast of the Cape Peninsula in South Africa, is now home to a new solar energy installation. The project, which was undertaken by local company Solar Systems Cape Town, involved the installation of 96 photovoltaic panels on the roofs of many residential homes and businesses. The solar energy system is expected to generate around 30 000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity per year.

Simon's Town solar installations will help to offset the homeowner's annual electricity costs, and also reduce their carbon footprint. The project is part of a larger effort by Solar Systems Cape Town to promote the use of renewable energy in South Africa. The company has already installed similar systems in other parts of Cape Town, and is planning to roll out more projects in other parts of the country in the future.
